A Good Factual Review about 1&1 Hosting?

Makes a change. It's hard to find a positive and factual "customer" review about 1&1 these days, but here is an obviously satisfied customer with a factual expert assessment and advise. Clearly 1and1 must be doing something right as they are one of the worlds largest web hosts.

Maybe its just me. But I’ve always thought there has been some confusion over 1&1’s actual name. They are officially `1&1` but of course their websites are at 1and1.co.uk and 1and1.com obviously.

A more thorough than usual review of of 1&1 Web Hosting. Strange how the biggest and most popular hosts get some of the worst reviews. I mean if they were that big, how did they get so damn big? I've had a few servers with1&1 now without issue. Just remember that you are on your own with tech support. However because of their supurb re-image tool, console access and a decent backup stategy, there should be no need for calling their tech support

I'm been wondering for a while if any of these keyword spy tool are any good and whether they produce accurate results. Perhaps one way to check is to "spy" on your own website. I can see them working better for paid search rather than organic search.

There are six candidates standing and there statements and CVs are contained in an election booklet along with details explaining to Nominet members how to vote. Nominet's EPP Goes Live

Nominet, the UK Domain Registrar yesterday launched its Extensible Provisioning Protocol (EPP) service.

Traditionally Nominet domain name registrars have used the Email Automaton using PGP Encryption to registation. Nominet intend to continue with the Automation service.

This service gives registrars an alternative method of registering and maintaining their portfolio's of .uk domain names.

The main benefits of using EPP are:

1. Responses to commands are generally instant. You can issue a command to register a domain, get a response and then confirm with your customer that this has happened all in real time.

2. Investment in EPP client programming should be transferable when integrating with the EPP service of other registries.

Other global domain registrars have offered an EPP solution for some time.

To connect to Nominet's EPP server registrars are required to register for the service. An EPP testbed will be available to allow registrars to test their EPP implementations.

Body election and is calling for Nomination.

This role of PAB member usually involves a high level of personal and professional
commitment. Successful candidates must be willing to attend half-day PAB meetings

discussion groups.

It appears that Google and ICANN have not completely killed of "Domain Tasting." Domain Name tasting often known as "kiting" allows registrars and registers to register domains, then cancel them within a short period. This allows them to test a domain for PPC (pay per click) purposes.

Domain blogs have been buzzing about Google and ICANN’s recent move to “kill domain tasting”. Upon a closer look Domain Name News felt that initial reports were largely exaggerated .

We followed up with Google to see exactly what they were trying to stop and maybe get some more insight in to their reasoning. Brandon McCormick who was mentioned in some of these articles was our first point of contact and he passed us on to PR rep Daniel Rubin at Google.
